-I finished The Long Halloween on the subway and proceeded to drop a page of an unfinished letter to Larry in a puddle of what I presumed to be coffee; rewrite of that page commences tonight.
-I intended to see a free advance screening of $9.99, but so did the entirety of lower Manhattan, so I cut my losses by skipping over to Momofuku Milk and had a piece of the cinnamon bun pie and a sample of the red licorice soft serve (you don’t need me to tell you they were both awesome).
-I looked up the difference between complaisant and complacent; vacillate and oscillate; meliorate and ameliorate. (They’re all synonyms.)
-I listened to the Moderat (Apparat + Modeselektor) album and watched the video for the single, Rusty Nails.
-et la pièce de résistance, I nudged my phone off the couch and the screen cracked (which makes the second occasion for surgery) so I’m off to bandage it up with packing tape (a substantial upgrade from the previous scotch tape closing its wounds).
