The deli down the street generously supplies you with myriad pamphlets and tracts to peruse if you choose to eat your lunch inside, but today I settled on Edible Brooklyn after learning that it is nigh impossible to juggle a book (even paperback!) and a sandwich, both of which require at least one hand 100% of the time (and don’t even get me started on sandwich karate), which leaves zero hands for napkins. Also, I’m left with no paws to throw up the courteous wave to passersby as the tables sit right in front of the windows facing the street (sorry if all you got from me was a wink and a head nod). However, today I threw all caution to the wind and used both hands while reading an article on Liddabit, an NYC-based sweets company.
Feast your eyes on this, my friend. It’s called “The King”: Soft peanut butter nougat is sandwiched between a brown sugar-brown butter cookie and a layer of fresh banana ganache, and dipped in milk chocolate.
If you really thought you needed any more convincing, they also have beer & pretzel caramels, a pumpkin pie bar, and pecan & brown sugar brittle. Quoth the famous Uncle Jesse: Have mercy!
